JP McMahon of EAT Galway teams up with Connacht Rugby for New Purpose Built Hospitality Facilities at Connacht Rugby.
This Saturday sees the launch of Connacht Rugby’s new hospitality and Platinum Club facilities at The Sportsground on College Road.
Guests of the Hospitality and Platinum Club will be treated to the culinary skills of award-winning chef JP McMahon of EAT Galway. EAT Galway is the brand which incorporates Jp’s three restaurants, Cava Spanish Restaurant and Tapsa Bar, Aniar Restaurant and Eat Gastropub.
Jp will be pulling inspiration for the corporate catering from the dishes served at the very popular award-winning Cava Spanish Restaurant and the critically renowned Aniar Restaurant which was recently named as Best Restaurant in Connacht.
Jp says the hospitality packages are a great networking opportunity for local businesses, as well as a chance for his own business to showcase what they can offer at his three local restaurants. “We have three restaurants in Galway focused on local suppliers and food, and will be bringing some of that to the corporate packages at Connacht Rugby,” he said. “We are trying to regionalize what we serve rather than just having your normal food hospitality dinners”.
Alex Saul, Head of Marketing for Connacht Rugby comments “The new hospitality packages will offer a truly premium experience to companies and individuals allowing them to entertain clients and groups in the home of the Sportsground. We are very excited to welcome JP and his team to the Sportsground. Nutrition is key to performance on the pitch, and this is the idea behind what we are doing with JP. We can’t wait to show supporters what’s on offer and the strides we are making.”
The Eat Galway philosophy is about using locally sourced, sustainable and seasonal ingredients throughout the menus. All the vegetable are organic, chicken is free range from Athenry and meats are sourced from the award winning Castlemine Farm in Roscommon and Colleran’s Butchers in Galway.
The luxury marquees will be on-site from mid-September onwards and packages for the Leinster game are currently on sale with some bookings still remaining. There are two packages to choose from.
